The clubs annual dinner dance and presentation night will take place on Friday the second of December. Our victorious senior hurling team will be presented with their medals.
It is our first senior championship in 65 years. Also that night the club on behalf of the community of Cabra are making a presentation to three Cabra men, two of which have won GAA Football All Ireland medals with Dublin and one who managed the Dublin senior hurling team and also managed Fionnbarrs.
They are Sean Moyles who managed Dublin senior hurling team in 1973 and lived on Carnlough road. Mickey Whelan who won two All Ireland medals in 1958 and 1963. He also managed Dublin and managed St Vincents to All Ireland club success. He was allso the coach and selector of this years Dublin All Ireland victory. Micky lived on Drumcliff Road. Paddy Holden won a All Ireland medal in 1963 for Dublin. Paddy lived on St Jarlath road. |
