Senior Hurling team from mid 2000
We had three adult hurling matches fixed for mid week.
The second teams match was called off because the Bogies and Dolphin park was unplayible due to the weather.
Our third team traveled down to the Gormon to play St Brendan’s in the last game of the group in the C championship. I t was a very low scoring hard match which both teams enjoyed.
A disallowed goal for the Barrs mid way through the second half was the winning and losing of this match. Another reason was the the low scoring of the Barrs forwards,scoring just one point in the first half.
A good second half of spirit kept us in the game with St Brendan’s wining by three points in the end.
In the Bogies tonight the senior hurlers had a good win over Ballyboden B by three points.Agood all round performance by the team secure our third win in the league.
