Covid 19
As the Country battles the ongoing Covid 19 pandemic the GAA has banned all games and all collective training at this times. While this is a very frustrating time for players, mentors and all Club members, we must adhere to the health advise to save lives. We would all love to be going to games on these bright evenings, and there’s no better place than the Bogies on a summers evening, but games will return again and the sacrifices we are all making now will have been worthwhile.

The Club has joined together with other local groups to help with the community response to the crisis and we have been assisting elderly people with their shopping and delivering medical supplies. While the Club bar remains closed, the kitchen is still open every Sunday for delivery and collection of carvery meals.

Skill challenges
Over the past couple of weeks our teams have been involved in different skill challenges to keep their eye in during this closed season. We would encourage all our members, young and old, to take part in these challenges and to keep active. They can be viewed on our various social media accounts. We want to thank Club coach Johnny McGlynn for overseeing these challenges and also for his very entertaining weekly podcasts. Again stay tuned on social media for our latest updates.

Club Lotto
Our Club lotto returned over the weekend and we would like to thank all those who supported it. This is a vital revenue source for the club and as the clubhouse remains closed for the foreseeable future we are very limited as to how we can raise funds. We appreciate that online playing does not suit everyone but we can offer any help necessary to ensure that anyone who wants to play the lotto is able to do so. There was no winner this week but we are delighted to announce the 4 lucky dip winners who each win a prize of €50.Beatrice Casserly, Des Judge, Sarah McGrath & Kevin Alcock. Next weeks jackpot remains at €20,000

Mind your mental health
It is very important during these difficult times we all look after each other but also that we look after ourselves, both physically and mentally. We would encourage all our members to visit www.gaa.ie or www.hse.ie for up to date advise.
