Congratulations to Niamh and Paddy on the birth of their new baby Jack from all the members in the club.

May O’Driscoll socialised in the club for over ten years. On a Sunday after dinner at the ballad sessions she would make the club her own with dancing and singing. She always was in great form and spent many a happy day with her friends in the first alcove of the Bar. To her family and friends we sent our sympathies on her passing.

Martin Myles was a member of the Barrs all his life and was a great hurler who managed underage teams in the early seventies. His wife Mary was also a great worker in the club in the late seventies and early eighties. To Mary and the Myles family we sendour deepest sympity. Ar deis de go raibh a anim.

Davey Dunne died during the week after a long illness. He was buried today and it showed the mark of the man with the big turn out he got. A great supporter of the club over a number of years he will be sadly missed by his family and friends especially Kevin who sits beside the door where they used to chin wag.

Seamus Burke’s funeral will take place in the Garrison Church, Arbour Hill today at 11am. Burial is at Mount Jerome cemetery.
