65 Years2

Day two of festival week again brought the sun out as our two junior adult teams followed on from our first team with both picking up wins. The second team beat St Vincents away with a great display of football, while the third team beat Clontarf in a good game at home in the Bogies.

The Jonathan O’Reilly Tournament was held on the all weather pitch from 2 to 5 pm for 8 to 10 year olds. 30 boys and girls played 6 great games in a well attended event. The O’Reilly family presented the cup to the winners, while all players got medals for taking part.

Martin Costello celebrated his 50th birthday in the club last night while Denise Loftus celebrated her 40th birthday, the club sends them both best wishes. Hard luck to the Dublin minor hurling team and our own Eamon Dillon as they put up a great show in the semi-final, just a little bit short at the end.
