Monday, August 13th, 2012On the second day of the festival the central event was Jonthon O Reilly tournament.It was held on the clubs all weather pitch. Over forty players from the ages of 8 to 10 years old played some great football and enjoyed themselves. Thanks again to the O Reilly family for the presentation of the medals and cup. Congratulations to the Dublin minor hurling team who are in the All Ireland final. Great win for Galway against Cork in a entertaining game. Joe Moran will be happy this morning. Great to see the videos messages from Anto Keogh, Bobby Brown, Colm Brown and Bart Mc Cabe from around the globe on Saturday night on Barrs night. Great crowd in and great creic had by all.
Festival, Olimpics, Club Matchs,All Ireland
Saturday, August 11th, 2012Dublin reached the last four of the football with a great chance of reaching another final. Galway to beat Cork to morrow in the hurling semi final after a hard battle. Great performance from the boxers in the Olympics. Four medals out of six with Cian O Connor making it five with the show jumping. Hurling week ahead with a number of matches. Second and third team play important matches on Tuesday with the seniors away to Na Fianna on Wednesday. Under 15 play final of the league in the Bogies on Tuesday night. Festival got off to a great start with a great parade through Cabra up to the Bogies. Liam O Neill the GAA presidentopen the festival and gave the medals to both teams after the hurling final in the road leagues. Roads leagues went well juring the week. Great to see Jimmy Cullen back on his feet.
All Ireland Quater finals
Saturday, August 4th, 2012Best of luck to Dublin today against Laoise. It wont be easey but if we are going to win the All Ireland we have to win. Kildare to beat Cork and Mayo to beat Down. Kerry and Dongal will be tight with Dongal shading it by a few points.
Hurling Friendlys
Saturday, August 4th, 2012The second hurling team played OP/ER in the hurling ground on Thursday night and had a good work out. The Senior hurlers played St Vincents on Friday night out in Marino. The match ended in a draw 1-14 to 0-17 points. Some of the players played very well.
Festival Week 2012
Thursday, August 2nd, 2012Festival week starts in nine days with the parade from the club house to the Bogie’s. The club wants to thank Alan Byrne and Sure for the continuing sponsorship of the festival which we are very grateful for in these tough economic times.We are asking all mentors senior and juvenile to get their teams out in club colours for the parade. The president of the GAA is opining the festival so a full turn out is needed.Any members with a bit of time weather it is a hour ,a day or a week please contact Kennett Broughan or our club secretary Madelean Paget at 8686209. This week is what the club and GAA is about community and people. Up the Parish and the Barrs.
Minors Top of the League
Thursday, August 2nd, 2012Our minor team finished top of division 3 of the Dublin County league with a well earned win against St Marks of Tallaght last night. Following on from a the win on Monday this was a great team performance which was driven on by a excellent Wane Losty. Congratulation to the team , Manger Seamus Mc Gratten ,and fellow selectors,Harry O Farrell, Tony Smither, Gerry Springer Weldon.

Tuesday, July 31st, 2012The under 14 and 15 teams had a fundraser in the Bogies on Friday. They were collecting sponsorships through laps for their week end trip in Scotland.
