Sunday, July 29th, 2012Our adult three team beat St Peregrines in the Bogies by ten points on Thursday night. Our Intermediate team beat Clontarlf by six points in the Bogie’s on Saturday. Our second adult team lost to Templeogue SS in Dolphin on Sunday morning by three points. Our third adult team were beaten by Whitehall out in Cloghran by seven points. Our minor footballers won out in St Maurs by five points on Thursday night. On the same night our senior camogie team were beaten in the semi final of the league.
Our sixteen hurlers beat Killunal in Tipparary on Saturday were our under 14 went down by a point to the same oppsition.

Wednesday, July 25th, 2012All support welcome for up coming matchs. Our Inter football play out in Cloghran to night at 7-15. Our minor footballers are out in St Maurs of Rush. Thursday our third adult football team playing the Bogie’s against St Peregines at 7-15. Saturday our inter play Clontarf in the Bogie’s at 6-15 and our second team is out in Dolphin Park on Sunday morning against Templeogue SS at 11 0 clock. Our third team is out against Whitehall at 3 0 clock Cloghran. Our minors play in the Bogies on Sunday morning at 11 o clock.

In torrential rain out in Darndale our second adult football team had a hard earn victory over a strong O Tools team. As the game started the rain came down in floods. Both teams play good football in a close match which the Barrs won on a score line of 0-13 points to 1-6. Thanks to our few loyal supporters who came out in this bad weather.
Tony Molly Malone Broughan Dublins best supporter
Monday, July 23rd, 2012Tony Molly Malone Broughan is representing Finbarrs in the Vodafone best Dublin supporter competition. He has reached the last five and we will be looking for al our club members and people of Cabra to support him when the voting comes around this week on face book. Tony who is 82 has follow Dublin through tick and tin for over 70 years. His outfit of Molly Malone has traveled all over the country in support of the Dubs. He has kept the tradition alive in his family of dressing up as Molly Malone which his brother Danny use to do in the fifties and sixties . He use to follow the parade of the teams around Croke Park on All Ireland day. Tony has kept the traditon going. Dont forget to vote for Tony when the time comes. Come on the Parish.

Senior Hurlers had a great win up in Martin Savage Park on Saturday night. A big crowd assemble for this local derby in warm conditions. From the start the Barrs took control and dominated the game from a hard working ER/OP side. It was a great team and individual performance from a well balance Barrs team.
Our second hurling team was beaten by six points out in Sliver park by Crokes on Sunday morning. Our Minor footballers went top of the table to night beating Round Towers of Clondalkin by six points in the Bogies.
Festival Update
Saturday, July 21st, 2012The president of the GAA Liam O Neill will open up the festival on August 11. Leading the parade will be the world renowing Artane Boys band. The will play at the club house before traveling up to the Bogie’s. Kenneth Broughan and John Brown have done a great job with the flags in the area they look great.
