U8′s Go Fishing

Sunday, August 7th, 2011

The U8′s team went fishing on the Royal Canal yesterday. The club want to thank all the lads who gave there time up to show the children the ins and outs of the skills of catching a fish.

All of them have been trained in the Gerry Lorri school of fishing. The star pupil yesterday was Billy Hyland who landed a nice few rud and perch. Stephen was a close second even though he cheated a bit by lashing the canal with ground bait.

Thanks to all for the help on the trip.
